Introduction
Many people get excited with how smart their dogs are, but this article proves them all wrong. Dogs are in fact not the most intelligent animals in the world. This article by Lea and Osthaus will explain how they determined the true intelligence of dogs.
Body
The scientist found that dogs were in fact in the same intelligence category or lower categories compared to other animals. To know this, the scientist compared animals that were meat eaters, caught food in groups and lived with humans to dogs. The only area where dogs excelled were being able to match animals to particular groups.
Conclusion
Studies found that dogs are in fact not smarter than most other animals but they are more present in human lives it makes a great reason to study their brains. Another reason to study their brains is because they are comfortable around us so they would be easy to experiment on. And with use of this new knowledge scientist believe that they can find out more knowledge if they study more animal brains.

This is surprising because dogs are thought of as pretty smart, but I guess not. I wish you had elaborated a bit more and explained the methods used in this study.

I am surprised that dogs aren’t, according to your article, not as smart as we like to think that they are! I wish that there could have been more details about the experiment so that I could understand more fully the ways in which they measured the intelligence.
